President Donald Trump made history Monday night with his first campaign rally in the Borderland. Thousands of people showed up to watch the president, but fewer than half were able to get into the El Paso County Coliseum, due to it being over capacity.
“I don’t know why they gave him the coliseum. They should have given him something bigger,” said Fabian Gonzalez.

Many people just wish they had gotten in line earlier. “I wish I got here even earlier because I’m kind of disappointed,” said Bob Underhill. “We came down here to see Donald Trump and we just didn’t expect such a big crowd in El Paso,” said Robert Lewis.

Trump’s [athletic] supporters were still enthusiastic even though they had to watch his speech from the parking lot on a big screen. “I’m just happy to know that he’s here and just to come out and support him,” said Underhill.

Lewis said he was surprised at just how many people showed up. “It’s actually very nice to see this. There’s a lot of supporters here in El Paso,” said Lewis.

The rally ended about 8:30 p.m. and the president got on a plane to head out of the Borderland.

Update: In addition to the thousands of fans stranded in the parking lot, hundreds of thousands of pediatricians appeared to be walking near the Coliseum from the north and an equal number from the south, as far as the eye can see. (Moron on this @ 11:oo : )
Meanwhile, Beto O’Rourke’s rally was attended by two street vendors, a homeless person currently residing at the site and a passerby walkin’ the dog. Total attendance was estimated at around ~ 6. (including Beto and the dog. : )
